Kyle Stewart is a visual artist from Hamilton, Ontario. He graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration where he was the recipient of the Nora E. Vaughn Award and Program Medal. His artistic approach allows him to toe a line between high and low brow that resonates with a collective nostalgia. Heavily influenced by history, popular culture, nature, and more, he works in many mixed medias. His work is very energetic and therefore spontaneous and at times chaotic. Kyle’s art practice has a strong emphasis on exploration and experimentation where the process in the studio can be just as important as the finished work.

Paloma Month is Tequila Tromba’s annual commemoration celebrating the world’s favourite cantina cocktail: The Paloma.
Tromba has partnered with the E.A.P. (Endangered Agave Program) to reintroduce wild endangered agave species to their traditional environments in Jalisco. With every 100 bottles of tequila sold, Tequila Tromba will plant a wild endangered agave, never to be farmed for tequila production. The Other Bird is passionate about sustainability (and tequila). Our staff members have participated in creating their own signature Paloma to support this great cause. Show your support by trying one (or many) of our staff creations, inspired by The Paloma.

In honour of National Taco Day, we are excited to raise money for our great partners at Empowerment Squared (E2). E2 is a charity that empowers newcomer, racialized, and marginalized communities domestically and abroad to succeed through mentorship, accessing post-secondary education, professional skills developments and recreation.
On October 4th, 100% of the sales of the Al Pastor taco will be going to E2 to help them empower their members with the tools and opportunities to thrive in our community. Juicy pork butt, Al Pastor marinade, white onions, cilantro and diced pineapple, served in a gluten free tortilla - this is one Taco Tuesday you don't want to miss. If you asked me my name 2 years ago, I would have told you something different.
About 2 years ago I started my social and medical transition. Saying that I am grateful to see The Other Bird partnering with quest CHC for pride month would be an understatement. After being turned down by countless family doctors in Hamilton for transgender care, I found dr. Massarella at Quest CHC. Access to the services that Quest CHC offers has undoubtedly changed my life. The Other Bird has provided a safe space for me to do that.

In order to show our support for Travis and the 2SLGBTQ+ community, The Mule sold Travis’ very own taco special The LGBT+ for the entire month of June. This taco featured Lettuce, Tomato, (Pork) Belly, Tomato + Lemon Mayo.
A dollar from each taco was donated to Quest Community Health Centre in order to give thanks for their personal support to Travis but also to give them the support they need to help others in the community and to raise awareness of their work so that they can enrich more lives, just as they did for Travis.
Due to the great level of success, we plan on making the LGBT+ Taco a feature every June to show our support of Pride, and all of our friends in the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
