The Mule Is Bringing Its Tacos To Go to Westdale
After more than a decade of serving chef-inspired tacos on King William Street, The Mule is taking its tacos on the road - sort of.On September 15, The Mule will open The Mule Tacos To Go in Westdale, introducing a new quick-service, takeout-only concept designed to get Hamiltonians their Mule fix on the go.
The idea is simple: same Mule flavours, different format.
The Westdale location will serve the bold, chef-driven tacos and fresh ingredients The Mule is known for, but with a menu and operation built specifically for grab-and-go, takeout and delivery. There won't be a dining room or table service, but their team will be ready to serve. It's tacos, packed up and ready to go.
“Westdale felt like the perfect place to try something new for The Mule,” says CEO Erin Dunham. “We’ve spent more than 10 years building The Mule as a full-service restaurant, and we wanted to test what a quick-service model could look like for us. It made sense to do that in a market we’ve grown in and where people already know The Mule. We’re excited to take what people love about us and make it faster, more accessible and easier to enjoy on the go.”
The original Mule opened on King William Street during Supercrawl weekend in 2015. Over the past decade, the restaurant has built a loyal following with chef-inspired tacos, a vibe-filled atmosphere and a service style that has become part of the experience.
The Mule's kitchen is also 100% gluten-free and peanut-free, something the team takes seriously. The Westdale location will carry that same commitment into the new format.
But while the concept is new, the Mule attitude isn't.
The Mule Tacos To Go is the shortcut to a taco fix: same bold flavours, same fresh ingredients, same Mule magic - just built for grab and go, couch delivery and those nights when putting on pants feels optional.
